Highlands: Canoe ride

During our visit to Highlands, we enjoyed a canoe ride on the small lake in Oma and Opa's community. R did all the paddling, while I tried to keep our water-loving baby inside the boat. He claimed that he did all the work, but I beg to differ.

Julia insisted upon putting her hands in the water from time to time, but I had to put my foot down when she tried to crawl out of the boat. I kept a tight hold on her and her life jacket the entire time. When she wasn't trying to get in the water, she was waving at the golfers playing nearby.

We had considered taking Jake with us, but I think we had our hands full.
